It was a beautiful day in San Clemente – praise the Lord! For several weeks leading up to Megan and James’ wedding day, we were making ‘Plan B’ preparations in case of rain. We had the tent company on stand-by, and all the vendors notified ‘just in case.’ But instead, there wasn’t a cloud in sight! So everything was perfect, from the ceremony on the lawn overlooking the beach, to the reception on the rooftop with views of the golden sunset on the ocean. Only the flower girls would suggest otherwise – when their moment came to walk down the aisle with everyone’s gaze fixed on them, they froze and burst into tears. Daddies to the rescue: leaving their posts beside the groom, these two men ran to their daughters, scooped them up, and carried them down the aisle, dropping petals as they went. It remains one of my favorite memories to this day!
