hi friend!

At first, I started planning weddings because it’s the perfect use of my skills:
organized. creative. service-oriented. particular. accurate. visionary.

But after over two decades of working in the wedding industry (yes, I received my planning certificate from the Association of Bridal Consultants while in high school), I’ve seen how overwhelming planning can be when your Pinterest feed keeps refreshing with new ideas and everyone around you has a different opinion. So I created my signature Statement planning process to prevent the overwhelm before it happens. Because beautiful outcomes aren’t the result of more options - they’re the result of intentional choices.

Yet after many years of planning other’s weddings, I’ve still never been married (remember I said this is the BEGINNING of a Hallmark movie). It took some prayerful wrestling, but the Lord finally convinced me that being single truly is a gift. So why would He call me to be a single wedding planner?!

To help me focus on the most important thing:

I’m Jennae, founder and creative director of Statements ::: Style + Event Consulting, where thoughtful design meets effortless planning.

My life feels like the beginning of a Hallmark movie: I’m a destination wedding planner, florist, and fashion stylist living in a castle in North Idaho.

Eagerly anticipating and preparing for our wedding day with Him!

Revelation 19:7-8:
Let us rejoice and exult
and give him the glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and his Bride has made herself ready;
it was granted her to clothe herself
with fine linen, bright and pure — for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.

Can you picture this wedding feast where Jesus is the host and groom, and we, His bride, are sitting there in our finest, purest white? Just like an earthly bride can’t get dressed by herself (those hard-to-reach buttons!), we believers need help putting on the “righteous deeds of the saints.”

I wrote the devotional and workbook “Preparing His Bride” to help a bride plan her wedding and keep her focus on Jesus. I’ve also created a Christian wedding vendor network to encourage other vendors to do the same in their business.

So you see, my Hallmark story will never end on this earth, since the true wedding day I’m anticipating won’t arrive until Christ returns for His Bride. Until then, whatever I do - whether planning a wedding or discipling a fellow vendor - I have the opportunity to glorify the Lord and help His bride be better prepared to feast with Him.

What a beautiful day that will be. I can’t wait!
